103 Servers?

Oh my god. 103 servers after 2 years. I guess you can’t deny the hardware hunger of social news.

i guess the mere number doesn’t say much. you can easily replace 20 or 30 2-year-old cheap taiwan-boxes with one decent server. if digg runs on 103 decent machines however, that’s then really impressing.

I assume that digg is building on a quite decent hardware infrastructure. Even if they follow the Google approach, 103 servers is massive amount to manage. I wouldn’t want to do that.
